beat the abuse
Working with Allegro, a creative agency based in Suffolk, we were given the task of raising awareness about the abusive calls received by the Contact and Control room of Suffolk and Norfolk constabularies.
To accomplish this, I created a campaign called “Beat The Abuse,” which involved placing an old police telephone box in the busiest towns of Suffolk. The telephone box was programmed to randomly ring, inviting members of the public to answer the phone and experience what it’s like to be on the receiving end of abusive calls. The aim was to create an atmosphere where the audience felt like they were in the hot seat. The experience included a TV screen and a phone within the phone box, with a scrolling script that became increasingly challenging with each level. The campaign employed a bold branding style that hinted at traditional police identity, with a twist of traditional gaming style to create an immersive and interactive appearance.
